ABOUT THE JOB

  • Key accountabilities

Reporting to the Head of Communications for RSV and PPH, and in close collaboration with the Head of Vaccines External Comms, the RSV Public Affairs teams, and Sanofi Corporate and local Communications Teams

  • Develop and implement global communications launch plans for nirsevimab, including pre-launch activities, global regulatory approval and launch activities, and post-approval activities, for both external and internal communications
  • Conceive, develop, and deliver annual Global RSV Brand Communications Plans
  • Provide strategic communications guidance to Global Franchise Head of RSV, the Global Brand Lead for nirsevimab, and other internal stakeholders involved in the launch of nirsevimab and other franchise assets in the RSV pipeline: External Affairs, R&D, Medical and expert functions
  • Plan and execute the external and internal communication strategy and tactics supporting our strategic goals within the RSV portfolio
  • Collaborate closely with the Communications lead for our partner company for nirsevimab to represent Sanofi in the development of Communications materials. This role works closely with the Brand Team to ensure the strategy and positioning established by Sanofi for nirsevimab is supported in all interactions with our partner
  • Collaborate with different teams to ensure success across of our RSV portfolio, namely: the Global RSV Franchise teams, Vaccines Public Affairs teams, Global Communications peers and the Sanofi Corporate and local Communications Teams
  • Manage external agencies, timelines and budgets as appropriate

Main Responsibilities

  • Translate business strategy and objectives into a strong global communications launch plan for nirsevimab and the RSV franchise and ensure timely, efficient plan execution
  • Contribute to strategy definition in the Global RSV franchises and respective GBT
  • Develop comprehensive communications and media training activities
  • Ensure consistency and synergies with Public Affairs RSV activities
  • Provide support and guidance to Vaccine country teams in priority countries
  • Track and report KPIs/metrics to measure the impact of communications strategies/tactics
  • Manage the RSV communications budgets, including management of external agency

Interdependencies

  • Represent Global Vaccines Communications as a member of the RSV GBT
  • Ensure coordination with fellow vaccines product communications teams (benchmarking and information sharing)
  • Collaborate closely with global Head of Vaccines External Communications/Head of Vaccines Internal Communications to ensure an aligned internal and external communications strategy

Basic Requirements

  • 7-10 years of communications experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech or medical industry – with proven previous experience in product comms (including launch experience), media relations, crisis management, internal communications, social media strategy and planning, budget management
  • Previous global product launch communications experience – ideally in vaccines, but therapeutics acceptable
  • Fully fluent English language written and verbal communication skills
